Dear Colleagues,
we have the pleasure and honor of organizing a session for Dental Professionals in the prestigious conference "Padua Days on Muscle & Mobility Medicine 2025", organized by Prof. Ugo Carraro in Montegrotto Terme (Padua).
We have asked esteemed Professionals, Researchers and Clinicians to participate with scientific and clinical reports regarding the management of muscular aspects in dental therapies.
The latest developments in scientific research will be illustrated and we have organised a masterclass to deep inside into the clinical applications of instrumental recording of muscle function.

In 1998, with the foundation of the Functional Anatomy Research Center (FARC) at the University of Milan, a dense research work about the function of the stomatognathic apparatus was born.
Twentyfive years of rigorous application of the scientific method have led to the development of oral function measurement procedures, validated by several Universities through many scientific publications.
A masterclass to understand the instrumental measurement of oral function. The electromyography protocols with Percentage Overlapping Coefficient (POC) processing and the parafunction measurement techniques will be described in detail, to learn how to translate functional information into reliable treatment plans for quality daily clinical activity.
-02:00 pm Functional Anatomy Research Center (FARC) history and results. Claudia Dellavia, University of Milan, Italy
-02:30 pm Maintenance and restoration of masticatory muscle function in everyday dentistry. Piero Simeone, Rome, Italy
-05:30 pm Functional and non-functional parafunctions: what role in TMDs? Rosaria Bucci and Roberto Rongo, University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy.
-06:30 pm Performing a reliable electromyographic examination of the masticatory muscles: technical and clinical tips. Riccardo Rosati, University of Milan, Milan, Italy
